Kansas City, Kansas, police released the names of the victims in Monday's quadruple homicide in the 5200 block of Munice Drive. They are:

  • 66-year-old James A. Warren
  • 21-year-old Amanda J. Remmers
  • 41-year-old Peggy Castleberry
  • 3-year-old Juanita D. Castleberry-Bess
Police say all four died from gunshot wounds. Their deaths bring the total number of homicides in KCK to 18.

Police arrested a man Tuesday following a chase. No more information has been released by police about that person.

If you know anything about the deaths of these four people, call 913-573-6020 or 816-474.8477.

Updated (1:48 p.m. Wednesday, June 24): Both Remmers and Castleberry had prior arrests in Wyandotte County. Remmers was in and out of the Wyandotte County jail for petty theft, resisting arrest, obstruction and a city charge between 2006 and 2009. Castleberry was arrested on city charges in 2004.

Updated (3:39 p.m. Wednesday, June 24): KCTV-5 reports that 37-year-old Adrian Burks, the man arrested following the police chase on Tuesday, has been charged with aggravated battery in a separate case.

A KCK police spokesman refused to call Burks a "person of interest" in the quadruple homicide Wednesday afternoon, but TV and news reports linked Burks' arrest with the crime.

No charges have been filed in the quadruple homicide.

What would possess you to post the prior arrests of the victims? What is the point of that? Peggy was a beautiful person, despite her PRIORS. She was a mother to a beautiful little girl & the other love of her life... her son. I just don't get the point of putting that on here when discussing this terrible tragedy. Post what the accused has done in the past. Post what he got away with! Had he been in custody for the FIRST person he killed this would not have happend. My thoughts & prayers are with the families. God bless you and your daughter Peggy. May you both rest in peace.
