Kansas City, Kansas, police are investigating a homicide in the 2600 block of North 13th Street.
Police say five people were shot around 12:08 a.m. Friday. One of the shooting victims, a juvenile, was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim's name has not been released.
The others were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Updated (11:10 a.m., Friday, June 26): KCK police identified the victim as 7-year-old Laraya Wilson of KCK. KMBC Channel 9 adds:
The shooter was outside and fired into the house. Bullets struck six people, including an elderly woman, who suffered minor injuries; a teenage girl, who was shot in the shoulder; a man in his 40s or 50s, who was shot in the arm; and a man in his 20s, who suffered a minor wound to the back. Three other people, including other children, were not injured.
