If the Jackson County Sheriff put "extra enforcement" against impaired drivers over the July 4th holiday weekend and didn't catch one drunk driver, was it worth it? The sheriff says so. Here's what the office did issue:

  • 23 speeding tickets
  • 4 seat belt violations
  • 11 citations for driving with a suspended license
  • 18 uninsured motorists
  • 2 following too close
  • 4 stop sign violations
  • 2 signal light violations
  • 1 failure to yield
  • 2 careless driving
  • 3 hazardous moving violations
  • 44 non-hazardous violations
  • 0 impaired drivers
Who knew it was so safe over here?

All those "The Heat Is On" radio commercials must have kept ALL the drunks off the road!

Glenn Frey: Thank. You.
