A Kansas City player was one of about 500 people rejected by the World Series of Poker. Too many people signed up, and 39-year-old Tyler Meierotto couldn't buy into the tournament after failing to win his way in. He also waited too long to enter.

From the Associated Press:

"I've been grinding away trying to win my way in... I woke up this morning, came to buy in and they were like 'Sorry," Meierotto said.

Time to fold 'em.

Can poker just go away once and for all?

I'd love to go the rest of my life without hearing another douche talk about how his trip jacks lost on the river (to an IDIOT, no less!) at the 3/6 table at Harrah's.

It's as bad as listening to your fantasy football team's injury situation.
