Nearly four months after a quadruple homicide in Raytown and pleas to the public for help in catching the killer, Jackson County prosecutors charged 24-year-old Gevante D. Anderson on Friday with four counts of first-degree murder, five counts of armed criminal action and one count of first-degree burglary.

On March 16, the bodies of 33-year-old Andre D. Jones, 21-year-old Precious

Triplett and her nephews, 10-year-old Amir Clemons and 7-year-old

Gerard Clemons were found in a Raytown apartment near 61st Street and Raytown Road.

KCTV 5 reported that Gevante Anderson is Precious Triplett's ex-boyfriend and the father of the infant found unharmed in the apartment where the bodies were found. Anderson's home was searched days after the killings, and police reportedly found interesting "items" but Anderson's grandmother claimed her grandson was innocent. A friend of Triplett told Fox 4 in March that Anderson "busted out all her [Triplett's] car windows and he was acting all funny now that she was talking to Andre."

Updated (1:34 p.m., Monday, July 13): Gevante Anderson appeared in court for the first time Monday. The Star says the father of the Clemons brothers tried unsuccessfully to speak with Anderson as he was being led out of the courtroom. Anderson's next court appearance is scheduled for August 3.

A man was charged not convicted. What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty? He said he didn't do it, what if he didn't? This is why they should move trials like these to outside cities, were the residents haven't already made up their minds about someone's presumed guilt or innocence before they have all or any evidence. KC is small, people talk. How can a person truly get a fair trial like this, with the verdict already out? Who ever did this is going to rot in more ways then one. But we have to go through the Constitutional process to convict people or we will repeat sins of the past. Know your history!

I hope this man pays the ultimate price for killing those 4 innocent men, women, & children. May god be with the Clemons family as they attempt to come to terms with this senseless act. You have 2 wonderful angels watching over you. May God be with you through all the tough times and see that justice will be served.

My soul crys out for everyone involved. God is in charge, this was already written and there was nothing we could do to stop it. We are all here for a reason and sometimes we never find out why. Let your hearts forgive. I'm trying to understand this as you are. Don't let this eat at your soul. Look to God for answers. He's always listening. God bless.

Gevante is my little cuz and I got his back until the end, meaning I will pray for his soul and the souls of the people that were killed. Would I like a mircle out of this, yes but God is in control and his will be done. Hope the families of the four that were taken away from earth can find peace one day. If that peace come with conviction then so be it. No excuse for senslessness but I will always love my Fam.
