Ambulance stolen from Research Medical Center ... again

Posted by Justin Kendall on Tue, Jul 14, 2009 at 9:08 AM

By my count, this is the second time a drunk guy has allegedly swiped an ambulance from Research Medical Center. This time, a guy reportedly facing DUI charges was waiting for a blood test when he decided to borrow an ambulance leading to an hour-long chase with police that ended with stop sticks popping the ambulance's tires and a crash into a light pole at 67th and Cleveland (I'm guessing it's the pole below).

Of course, this wouldn't be Kansas City if the chase ended there; the guy ran and a police K-9 bit the guy. Now, the guy is in a lot more trouble, especially for swerving at an officer.

proof positive that the people responsible for the ambulances at Research Medical Center are Americans---they learn nothing from the past.
