Coming soon to Grand: Barely Legal

Totally Nude Temptations is getting a Barely Legal neighbor. The Pitch's Berry Anderson spotted this new business at 1515 Grand, although the windows are covered with brown paper.

Jackson County property tax records say the address is owned by D.A.R. LLC, which is current on its taxes. D.A.R. are the initials of Dana A. Ribaste, who is listed as an "organizer" with D.A.R. LLC on the Missouri Secretary of State's Web site. Ribaste filed "articles of organization" in 2003.

D.A.R. also is listed as owning 1517 Grand.

Ribaste's phone number is unlisted.

Attorney Richard T. Bryant, who has represented adult entertainment businesses against claims of obscenity, is listed as the registered agent for D.A.R. LLC. Bryant didn't immediately return a phone call from The Pitch.

The city's Web site shows Bryant trying to get the 1517 Grand address rezoned for an adult entertainment business.

The owners of Thai Paradise must be thrilled.

Still, in an adult entertainment district (if it becomes one), in this kind of company, Thai Paradise starts to sound...different. Like, a guy who goes into Thai Paradise looking for "carry out" would be disappointed to leave with crab rangoon instead of an unconscious 17.5-year-old over his shoulder.
