Speaking of Royals and cocaine addictions ...

ESPN's Outside the Lines has a massive feature story on the fall of former Royal Willie Mays Aikens, who was sentenced to 20 years and eight months in federal prison for drug and gun charges.

The story, by former Star sports reporter Elizabeth Merrill, follows Aikens' life post-prison, and it all reads like The Wrestler (estranged daughters, unsure of what to do with his life after baseball, etc.), but without the steroids, spandex and steel chairs.
