Killa City: JoCo mom accused of killing her newborn makes court appearance

Alice Zeorlin -- the Johnson County mother accused of suffocating her newborn baby girl -- appeared in court Thursday.

Earlier this week, Johnson County prosecutors charged Zeorlin, 25, with first-degree murder for the asphyxiation death of her newborn at Zeorlin's Overland Park home.

KSHB Channel 41 adds:

Zoerlin is accused of giving birth in her parents basement on May 31st and wrapping the baby in a bag. Her parents found the child's body the next day.
Zeorlin's MySpace page is set to private but a profile picture of her is still visible. She last logged in on June 14. Her mood is "impervious" and her status says "Alice!!! enjoying the life."
