A drug deal gone awry led to the death of Tyrone L. Collins Tuesday night, court records say.
Court documents allege that 21-year-old Scott A. Bilquist (also known as "Scuz") shot and killed Collins, who assaulted and attempted to rob him.
Jackson County prosecutors charged Bilquist on Friday with voluntary manslaughter and armed criminal action.
The probable cause statement gives this story: Bilquist and another man drove to an address near 29th Street to buy drugs. Bilquist met a black man, and they walked into an apartment building as the driver waited in the car. After a few minutes, the driver heard gunshots and a bloody Bilquist ran to the car. Bilquist told the driver that the man had assaulted him and robbed him so Bilquist shot him.
Bilquist showed up at another man's home and told the homeowner that
he'd gone to the inner city to buy drugs but the deal went bad and he
shot a man, the records say. Then Bilquist threw his blood-covered
clothes and the gun into a bag full of lawn clippings. Detectives later
found the bag with the help of the homeowner.
Billquist was arrested but refused to speak with detectives.

I am a family friend of Scotts. People who have known him since he was born, he is a nice guy.
Did any of you know he gave Tyrone a ride, being the nice guy he is, when his car was broken down. They started talkin about weed and what other shit they do and tyrone set him up, said come to my house well sell you some shit.
I saw Scott when he got the shit beat out of him, he shot tyrone outside in the hallway when he tried to run even after they took his money they continued to chase him and beat on him like a ragdoll, so he had to use his gun which he had for self defense as our world is a very dangerous place and obviously, look at tyrone.. I would be petrified and I would have never given that man a ride. but scott was trying to be nice and ended up thinking he might have a new friends who would smoke with him or what have you. He called us before the events happened and said he gave this guy a ride and they got to talking, said he had his gun cause he knew it was a bad part of town and didnt trust him, as he shouldnt have.
If they hadn't tried to rob him, or set him up from the begining when he was trying to be a good person, then it would have never happend. But I am thankful that scott is ok and writing him in prision he is a better person and learning how to do new jobs. He has well learned his lesson, not to trust thug looking strangers who KILLED A GIRL PREVIOUSLY
Scott killed nobody before that incident, and tryone killed a little girl. So baby mama, he was a bad influence and I highly doubt he was with his kid if he was busy trying to make deals with people downtown.

I am a friend of Scotts, so i am only hearing this side of the story and what is written in this article, what happend? Like after he ran off, what happend with T? how did you all hear about it and what is bieng said on that side of the story?
Even if they did only meet once Tyrone knew what he was doing, Scott knew he was buying drugs and carrying a gun for precaution just because its the HOOD like you said. So he was assulted in self defense he pulled his gun and shot out of adrenaline rush which is an activity of the adrenal gland in a fight-or-flight response resulting to more than 1 shot. A LOT of people know what happened in that apartment and you all will see that when the pictures of what happened to Scuz. He got beat up and they tried to rob him when he was trying to leave the scene when he realized the drugs were not the drugs at all. He tried to stop and go, they pulled him into the hallway and beat him then he pulled out a gun and shot and ran to save his own life.
