Killa City: KCMO homicide No. 72, Laron Johnson fatally shot on East 29th Street Monday morning

A man in his late teens to early twenties was found fatally shot in the 3200 block of East 29th Street early Monday morning.

Kansas City police officers were called to the shooting around 1:14 a.m. On arrival they found the man lying in the street. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are still looking for suspects.

Update (4:20 p.m. Monday, August 3): Kansas City police have identified the victim as 17-year-old Laron Johnson, of Kansas City, Mo.
