Mike Sanders does not want to be your mayor, Kansas City

Jackson County Executive Mike Sanders isn't going to run for mayor of Kansas City, The Kansas City Star reports. He's running for a second term as JaCo exec.

"Clearly there's more stuff we want to do," Sanders told the Star. "There's much we haven't completed."


The story says Sanders personally delivered the news to Vulcan Mayor Mark Funkhouser, leaving the public scrutiny to the oversized novelty mayor.
