Chiefs sign Amani Toomer ... six years too late

Amani Toomer signed a one-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs, ESPN reports.

The 34-year-old wide receiver is coming off one of his least productive seasons (48 catches for 580 yards) with the New York Giants -- his best season was 2003.  And he's old balls at 35.

But Toomer will probably start because there aren't a lot of options -- and at least he has a ring.
