Looks like one late-term abortion provider isn't living in fear after the assassination of Wichita doctor George Tiller. Nebraska abortion provider LeRoy Carhart wants to open a late-term abortion clinic in Kansas, preferably in Wichita, the Associated Press reported early this morning.

Hmm. I wonder where:

Carhart said his attorney has talked to the Tiller family's attorney, but it is too early to make an announcement.

So much for Operation Rescue buying the place.

It wasn't that long ago Operation Rescue were claiming they were broke. In a recent appeal for money OR said they needed $34,000 a month to keep their fleet of 10 trash (er, I meant truth) trucks running. That's over a third of a million dollars a year.

That's an impressive number since they've never reported that amount of income to the IRS, back when they were tax-exempt.

So it's doubtful they even had enough in the bank to make a serious offer on Tiller's place. They didn't even buy the building they occupy now, they are merely borrowing their HQ from Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust in CA.
