Former Missouri Gov. Warren E. Hearnes dead at age 86

Missouri's first two-time governor, Warren E. Hearnes, died Sunday night at his home in Charleston.

Hearnes, 86, served as governor of Missouri from 1965 to 1973, during the civil rights era and fought for -- and won -- more money for education and mental health services.
