Jackson County prosecutors charged four men in connection with the death of Steven Bertling, the Independence man killed while playing basketball in a church parking lot with friends.
Prosecutors charged 20-year-old Joseph P. Delgado and 21-year-old Justin M. Trotter with second-degree murder and first-degree assault.
In his "about me" section, he writes:

Mixed with family photos are photos of him throwing up gang signs, him with a giant gash on his head ("jumped, i got em good"), marijuana plants ("my lil bitch, got big ass buds on it now I grow da fire") and guns ("I sleep good at night").

Thanks Sherri, and I agree that trash belongs somewhere other than out on our streets. These boys got a slap on the wrist for taking another man's life, now they get to come to come back home to their families and loved ones. Does my cousin get a second chance at life? Does my cousin's baby girl get to hug and kiss her Daddy one more time? NO!!!! Why the hell should these guys, especailly if you consider that not 1 of them called for help that night, and in the days following, not 1 of them felt remorse enough to turn themselves in or go to the authorities. I say let them all rot in prison and suffer the repeated abuse of some of the others offenders incarcerated.
