Hey, Johnson County residents who were born in another country! The Johnson County Museum wants to hear your story -- and your children's stories -- for an exhibit opening in 2011.

New Immigrants and the American Dream
will focus on the experience of immigrants and their children, their perspectives on American life and their experiences in suburban communities.

Contributors to the project can fill out an online survey or contact Melissa Fisher Isaacs at 913-715-2553.

Ha. I know.

Now, I really want to take the tour of the 1950s "electric house," although I fear flashbacks of the last Indiana Jones movie.

Touchy, touchy, Cletus and KCMO Ho. Crystal wrote about the project because she thinks it's cool. I added the snark.

Thanks for allowing us in KCMO to survive.

This is a worthy project. If you've been paying attention, the cultural climate of Johnson County has changed dramatically in recent years as the first generation suburbs aged. Your snarky headline is eyeroll inducing.
