Kansas City must be too liberal for a couple of conservative Joes.
Joe the Plumber skipped an appearance at the University of Missouri-Kansas City last night to attend a tea party rally in St. Louis today. He's promoting a comic strip.
In other conservative Joe news, South Carolina Congressman Joe "You lie" Wilson is scheduled to speak at the Missouri Republican Assembly's annual state meeting on October 3 in Springfield, KY3 News reports.
Wilson came to infamy after shouting "You lie" as President Obama addressed Congress. The outburst came after Obama said his health-care plan would not cover illegal immigrants.
On Tuesday, Congress voted to rebuke Wilson's outburst. That hasn't dampened the MRA's enthusiasm.
"It's fortuitous and the timing was just really good," Missouri Republican Assembly president William Scott Magill told KY3. "He sort of just fell into our lap."
