It's Friday. We're having some blog issues, but seem to be up and going now. Here's a few stories from overnight and this morning to watch.

Steve Rose won't be running against Dennis Moore. He's blaming "inflammatory bowel disease."

A new tip in the Renee Pernice missing person case led police to a field north of the river near Interstate 29 and Highway 169, KMBC Channel 9 reports. So far Pernice's body hasn't turned up.

Everybody's real sorry about the Jayhawk family feud. KU men's basketball coach Bill Self promised discipline but told the Kansas City Star's J. Brady McCollough: ""It's really none of your business," Self said. "It will be handled in a way that will be probably private. You won't know how it's going to be handled, but it will be handled."

A top aide for Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon knew about high levels of E. coli bacteria at the Lake of the Ozarks but supposedly quiet, The Kansas City Star reports.

The Kansas City Brigade won't be a part of the merger between the Arena Football League and arenafootball2. They're holding out until 2011.

Finally, Olathe school buses will roll on.
