A man was shot to death in the 3000 block of North 11th Street in Kansas City, Kansas, Thursday night.
KCK police say they found two shooting victims when they arrived at the scene. One of the men was pronounced dead at the scene. The second shooting victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The homicide victim's name hasn't been released yet. KCK police also have not released any suspect information.

Dear Pitch: Thanks for posting stats on homicides in KCK and KCMO. In both cities there were more homicides in 2008 and 2009 than there were in 2007-- the meaning of this being that the KC-area is the only large metropolitan area in the whole country, to the best of my knowledge, where in both 2008 and 2009 there were more homicides than in 2007--the rest of the nation's cities are recording mostly record low homicide stats for 2008 and 2009.
