Two months after the Kansas City, Missouri,
School District's first announced its paycheck pickup, the district is still trying to figure out how many
people work for the district.
District employees will pick up their paychecks -- and verify their personal info -- at "special distributions" in November. Workers, don't forget your ID or you won't get your check.
The district's press release echoed the last one, saying the district wants employees to physically pick up their paychecks so it can
"verify the size of its workforce and ultimately reduce waste."
Employees will get their checks five days earlier than they'd normally be directly deposited into their accounts. Bonus!
Update: Check the comments. I stand corrected. This is the first paycheck pickup. Apparently the September paycheck pickup/head county didn't go off as planned.

Justin, What ID's ...if you ask around all anyone needed to show was a valid drivers license, no school district ID, just a valid drivers licenise.
The question no one is asking is ...why not a current, valid school district badge?
Although leadership has changed on the top level, those individuals responsible for cutting checks, inputing data for payroll, those in mid-mangement levels in accounts payable, and payroll are still employed. They hold the key to who is being paid...
This was truly a pr move done with no real thought.
I sugguest KCMSD consider issuing new id badges to all of its employees and attempting to do this again.
Additionally, they should consider giving Sub-teachers in the district id badges to validate they are currently active.
Once a "real" effort has been made to grasp who really exist, then-and-only-then, can this community look to the current leadership with pride and true understanding that they are committed to change, right now all we have is propaganda.
