Police are conducting a "death investigation" after finding two people dead in a home in the 5400 block of Ridgeway around 12:30 p.m Sunday.
Police say the victims are a woman in her 70s and a man in his 50s.
KMBC Channel 9 reports that the deaths may be a murder suicide. KMBC says investigators believe a man killed his mother and then himself. Their names haven't been released yet.
On Saturday night, Kansas City police found a Hispanic male in his early 20s shot to death in the 5200 block of Truman Road. Police were responding to a shots fired call around 7:48 p.m.
Also on Saturday, two women and a man surrendered to police after an hour standoff. Two victims pointed police to a home in the 3800 block of Indiana.
