I'm shocked that eBay doesn't want anything to do with the anti-abortion extremists who are trying to raise money for the legal defense of the man accused of killing George Tiller.
The Kansas City Star has the statement from eBay -- and gets the name of the man accused of killing Tiller wrong. It's Scott Roeder, not Dennis Roeder. Anyway, here's the statement from the online auction site.
Based on the details we know about the anticipated listings, we believe these would violate our policy regarding offensive material. eBay will not permit the items in question to be posted to the eBay site, and they will be removed if they are posted.
eBay does not allow listings that promote or glorify violence, hate, racial or religious intolerance. We do not allow items that encourage, promote, facilitate or instruct others to engage in illegal activity and will not be a platform for those who promote violence toward others.
As always, we are actively monitoring for offensive or inappropriate content and will take action as necessary.
So yeah, future reference. You can't auction off manuals with bomb-making recipes.

The Star should be forgiven for its confusion of the name of Doctor Tiller's "alleged" murderer.
After all, it was Dennis Rader whose killings preceded the assassination of George Tiller. Both he and Scott Roeder are "professing Christians," and the killings occurred in Wichita.
Additionally, both were middle aged, balding and really, don't all white men look alike?
This is such a disappointment. Just think,
there could have been auctions of other items connected to assassins of obstetricians, clinic bombings, etc.
Maybe Eric Rudolph could autograph some Atlanta Olympics memorabilia, perhaps even some shrapnel from his bomb that resulted in two deaths and 120 injuries?
Although Cheryl Sullenger is now out of prison, perhaps she has some mementos of the two years she did in prison for plotting to bomb a women's medical clinic?
It's unfortunate indeed that Republican operative Ted Bundy and Operation Rescue associate Paul Hill were each executed for their multiple murders in Florida, or they certainly would have contributed items for the cause.
