Three people have been charged with kidnapping Carol Thomas.

Excelsior Springs police say 23-year-old James P. Reardon, 21-year-old

Jennifer L. Saling and 29-year-old Erik R. Zimmerman have been charged

with felony kidnapping in Clay County.

Bond is set at $1 million each.

Witnesses told police that Thomas, 23, was beaten, thrown in a trunk and kidnapped by three men on Wednesday night.

A red Grand AM that authorities believe was

used in the kidnapping was found torched near Lawson -- about

20, 25 minutes away from Excelsior Springs.

Thomas' body was found yesterday in rural Ray County.

These appear to be Zimmerman's Facebook and MySpace pages. His last login was October 11. His mood is set to "frusterated" and his page is headlined with this: "Things have got 2 change before i snap-out and get real stupid." His profile says he's a "proud parent," and there are several photos of a toddler.

This appears to be Saling's MySpace page.

Jackie thank you for noticing the Jenn that her family and friends know. She was caught in the wrong crowd for sure, we love her very much and hope that she does take time to reflect on the situation! As others have stated when dope crabs hold it doesn't let go without issues...that's for any one person! I will continue to say a prayer for Carol's family and all the families affected! Thanks again for your kindness, Jennifer isn't a murderer!

Wow. I just viewed her myspace page as well. She is so beautiful. How very sad that she got mixed up with these people drugs. She had her whole life ahead of her. I noticed in her profile it said Children: and she answered SOMEDAY. Not now. She will never get to know the wonderful feeling of becoming a mother in prison. How very sad. According to the news she wasn't there when Carol was killed (she left with the people that brought them gas), but met back up with them later. Maybe she will get a break, not have to spend the rest of her life in prison and choose to start reading that bible and change her life. She should do some time though since she was there and part of the events. Doing some time will be good for her to clean out her system and possibly overcome her addiction.

I just checked out this Jennifer Saling girl's myspace page. What was she doing hanging around these losers?! She is so young and pretty and from the looks of her pictures was a pretty normal girl with her whole life ahead of her. She talked about how she needs to read her Bible and go back to church. Seems like she has a genuine love for God that she forgot about somewhere along the way. I pray that she finds Him again and trusts in him through all of this. It's hard for people to forgive, but God's heart aches for her. I pray for her and these guys and the friends and family of this poor girl who they murdered in cold blood. Let this be a wake up call to anyone with half a brain who's hanging around a bad crowd and doing things they know are stupid. Today is the day of salvation.

This had been a huge shock for all residents, both present and past, of Excelsior Springs. No one wants to think the people we grew up with could be capable of committing such senseless acts against another, and this is no exception. I grew up with Erik, he always had his fair share of issues, especially when it came to drugs and violence. Regardless of knowing his character,it still didn't soften the blow of this revelation. It just goes to show that once drugs have you in their hold, anything is possible.I will be keeping her family and friends in my thoughts. I suppose the only good that came from this was the quick apprehension of these individuals involved. It goes without saying, but this was a tragedy that hit hard, and will continue to rock us.
