Early this morning, police found a man shot to death in the 3100 block of East 12th Street.
Kansas City police received a call of a shooting in the 3000 block of Peery around 1:56 a.m. Officers talked to a man who told them his friend had been shot. The man was taken to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.
After the man was taken to the hospital, police officers canvassed the area, looking for another victim. That's when they received a call that a shooting victim was lying in a backyard in the 3100 block of East 12th.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police described the victim as a Hispanic male in his late teens to early 20s.
