The Shawnee Mission School District says notorious artist of phallic Florida and ex-teacher Ryan Haraughty isn't offering a full disclosure on the reason he was axed.
The district issued a long-winded statement about taking education seriously and taking appropriate action and how this wasn't a personality conflict between Mr. H and the principal and lots of blah, blah, blah.
But this part was rather intriguing:
"Mr. Haraughty has communicated to students, parents and the media that the decision to terminate him was based on one specific incident. The termination of Mr. Haraughty's contract was not based on one incident. The decision was based on numerous incidents over an extended period of time. Mr. Haraughty has failed to communicate this in his statements to parents, students, and the media. We are sorry that we can't get more specific regarding the incidents but the school district wants to be clear that what has been communicated by Mr. Haraughty is not a true representation of his situation.
Say it isn't so, Mr. Haraughty.
What? Did he draw Maryland as the dirty whore that we all know she is?
Haraughty claimed he was fired from from Mission Valley Middle School after drawing a map of the
United States with a plump, penis-like Florida and saying "Florida got excited."
But if Florida got excited, wouldn't it be standing at attention?

And once again, Ignorant Parents and School Boards acting like Sex doesn't exist....well, it probably doesn't for them......
That's a rather hard approach to take, and the penileties were rather stiff. A bit of a cock up on the schools part I would say.
I would say the teacher should stand firm against the education body,and come to a compromise. I feel he can beat this thing if he brings enough pressure to bare. That should jerk the school board into submission,or whip them into a frenzy.
Personally, I think the whole thing was blown out of proportion, A knee jerk reaction.
If someone is at odds with the shape of florida shouldn't they take it up with their local deity. If Mr. H. really intended to be rude he would have included the keys.
I'm guessing the school administrators felt inadequate about their Floridas?
