Killa City: KCK homicide, Jose Salazar-Moreno

Kansas City, Kansas, police say they are investigating the death of 28-year-old Jose Salazar-Moreno as a homicide. 

Salazar Moreno was found shot in an alley south of the 900 block of Armstrong Avenue around 4:49 a.m. Sunday.

Salazar-Moreno was taken to a local hospital where he died from his wounds. KCK police have not released any suspect information.

Dear Pitch: Not looking good for either KCK or KCMO homicide-wise. KCK: 35 homicides so far this year, compared to 33 for all of 2008 and 25 for all of 2007. KCMO: 94 in 2007, 126 in 2008 and just hit 100 for 2009. Sincerely and Respectfully, Ernest Evans
