Police say the suspect again tried to run over officers at the intersection. Officers fired more shots at the suspect, who drove east on Independence Avenue, but the car broke down at Independence and Manchester.

Police finally arrested the suspect, who was transported to a local hospital with gunshot wounds.

The man is expected to survive.

No officers were injured in the incident.
