Lafayette County prosecutors released additional sordid details of alleged sexual abuse perpetrated by Burrel Mohler, Sr., Burrel Mohler, Jr. and Jared Mohler on several young members of their families.
Three victims have come forward alleging various abuses. One, now age 28, recalled Burrel Mohler Sr. singing "Itsy-Bitsy Spider" to her when she was about 5-years-old as he allegedly moved his hand near her genital area, according to charging documents from the prosecutor's office.
The woman reported that Mohler Sr. had promised to take her and another alleged victim to a horse pasture, but when they arrived, Burrel Mohler Jr. and Jared Mohler allegedly took the girls and had them have sexual contact with horses. Another girl has also claimed that she was made to have sexual contact with a horse, according to court records.
The new witnesses corroborated other reports of alleged "mock wedding" ceremonies and alleged non-mock consummation thereafter.
Court documents say the younger witness "reported that summers were the worst because the girls spent more time at their grandfather's farm."
And it goes on and on.
In light of these new allegations, the Lafayette County prosecutor has charged Jared Mohler with a felony count of using a child in a sexual performance for knowingly inducing a child under 17 into a sexual performance, in this case with a horse.
Burrell Mohler, Jr., was charged with one count of rape, for allegedly having sexual intercourse with a child younger than age 14 and one count of using a child in a sexual performance for the alleged incident with the horse.
Burrell Mohler Sr. has been charged with five additional counts of rape of a child younger than 14, sodomy of a child younger than 14, using a child in a sexual performance for the alleged horse incident and using of a child in a sexual performance for allegedly direction the girls to engage in sexual activity with more than one minor child.

Yes, thanks Caroline. Well said. It is not the job of authorities to provide evidence to the media, or to online gawkers. It is their job to build a case. The allegations are part of public record, so the media is giong to put them out there. But why would the prosecutors destroy any chance for a fair trial by making you privy to everything they intend to present? And as for the doubters, really, you think ALL of these victims (6+) have conflated memories?? You think it's MORE likely that granddaddy just happens to like incest porn but never touched them?? Yes, they are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, but I find it sad that the public is so quick to assume the accusers are all liars (or somehow confused or mistaken).
Why are you shaming the victims? There is no evidence to indicate that they are lying. Do you really want these men out on the streets?
Just as these men are innocent until proven guilty, the victims should be considered credible until proven otherwise. What if it were your daughter, sister, niece? Would you assume they are lying too?
I agree with Thomas. Constantly adding on new stories just detracts from the overall credibility when no evidence is produced. My guess is the girls found some of this porn when they were children, and are now drawing on it to create conflated memories.
Yet another story without a single piece of evidence. The Lafayette county prosecutors had better have more than allegations from twenty years ago, because I don't see any reason to believe any of this.
