Wyandotte County prosecutors charged Cristian Ruiz late Wednesday with second-degree murder in the death of Jose Luis Salazar-Moreno.
WyCo prosecutors allege that Ruiz, 22, shot and killed Salazar-Moreno, 28, in an alley south of the 900 block of Armstrong Avenue around 4:49 a.m. on November 15.
Salazar-Moreno was taken to a local hospital where he died from his wounds.
Ruiz is in custody. He is being held in the Wyandotte County jail on $200,000 bond.
