Kansas City weather was gorgeous over the long Thanksgiving weekend -- perfect for procrastinators who still hadn't gotten around to hanging their holiday lights. Unfortunately, it looked as if tragedy was about to strike at a house on the corner of State Line and West 61st Street:

Wow, amazing post, I was wondering how to do this. and came across your website from yahoo, tons of interesting info here, now that I've got some idea. Ive bookmarked your blog and also added rss. Please take a look at my site: payday loans and please keep us updated about your site :-), thanks!....
Its now been posted at snopes as well. The ownership could be easily verified by checking for the house using the claimed address on Google street view.
The display owner is Kerry from Kansas City. Here is the post he made on blog communicating with Deeli mentioned above:
Doubt you will believe me but this IS actually my house. My friends have told me it has been going around on email and on blogs. So I looked it up and found this blog as well as many others. IT is amazing. If you don't believe me or want additional pictures and stories email me at Kerryscanlon1 AT aol.com. The paragraph I wrote is just a small amount of what happened over the 2 days. Kerry
Its funny but 5 mins on Google and I can come up with at least a half dozen people who also claim that this is THEIR display.
Deeli in Washington State seems to be the most probable owner of the display. She provides alot more proof than the "It's mine" comment by Mr. Tiddler.
No it's my photo. Use it if you want, more the merrier.
Are you the original source for image of man hanging from gutter? I work with The Marlin Company a publisher of safety messages. We're interested in using this image and I'm trying to track down the owner of photograph. Can you please let me know if it's you or if you know more.
Thanks,
