Eddie D. Cobbs is Kansas City, Kansas' 38th homicide victim.
KCK police identified Cobbs as the victim of Wednesday night's fatal shooting in the 2300 block of Silver Court.
KCK police officers found Cobbs' body between two apartment
buildings.

that was my father and know one will understand the hurt and pain of a 17 year old girl who doesn't get to see her father anymore until it happens to them. the person who murdered my father didn't think about the fact that he had a daughter and a family that loved him, regardless his flaws but he will be judged by god it's not my place but i forgive you and may god have mercy on your soul.
Dear Pitch: As always, thanks for keeping a running count of KC-area homicides. Not looking good for KCK--38 homicides this year, compared to 25 in all of 2007 and 33 in all of 2008; time for one of those ridiculous and pathetic statements that the city governments always force their local police departments to release at such times: "The homicide rate may be up, but other forms of crime are down sharply in the past two years"--if KCK needs pointers in how to phrase such a press release, consult the KCMO city website--the city government there has forced the KCPD to release a number of such statements in the past two years, Sincerely and Respectfully, Ernest Evans
