A Jackson County Sheriff's Deputy claims ex-Chief Neil Smith was driving while intoxicated and failed a field sobriety test.
Smith's attorney claims Smith wasn't drunk, and he has several people to back up the claim.
The Kansas City Star reported late last night that Smith was pulled over after allegedly driving 53 in a 65 in a center lane, crossing into the right lane several times and failing to signal lane changes along Interstate 70 just west of the Blue Ridge Cutoff on November 1.
Smith was reportedly wearing a Halloween costume and had to remove his "platform shoes." Was he dressed up as Gene Simmons?
The deputy gave him a sobriety test, and Smith allegedly swayed. He also taken to the station for more tests and refused to take a breath test.
So now he's accused of DWI, and his arraignment is scheduled for January 7.

I have been looking for many sites to learn more and this post catches my attention. Good thing that I come across your website that tells people what they want to know. This is very helpful and enlightening. I already added this to my reader to be the first to experience your new posts. Has anyone else suggest other related subjects that I can look for to find out more information
Just met Neil Smith for an autograph and he was real nice when there was a small line there, but when no one was there and I walked up to ask him if I could have one of the pictures that he wasn't handing out when I was in line, that I might add were just copies from a copy machine signed, he was a jerk and said you already have a signature, which I might add was only a 3 x 5 piece of paper he was signing with his name printed on it and a picture of the business he was at on it. Not at all what you would expect from a man that got rich off fans like me. Without us he would not of made the money he made,
