They're a little late for the Black Friday masses, but PETA activists will be targeting holiday shoppers in the Country Club Plaza this afternoon.
The revealing costume of choice for the latest episode of titillating street theater: sexy cops.
According to a press release from the national animal rights organization, a pair of anti-cruelty beauties -- "scantily clad in sexy uniforms, high-heeled boots and police hats, holding signs that read, 'Animal Skins Are a Fashion Felony'" -- will set up their checkpoint at the intersection of 47th and Wyandotte today at noon.
Instead of taking aim at a specific retailer, though, these ladies will be issuing "citations" to any passer-by sporting leather, fur or wool clothing. According to PETA, the factory farms that produce "animal skins" violate the "code of common decency."
So, if you're heading to the Plaza this afternoon, consider your wardrobe -- and whether you'd appreciate the attention of a barely clothed activist -- before you go.
