Robin "Scott" Roggenbuck, 57, perennial molester of children, was convicted (again) on December 8 of five counts of possession of child pornography.

Roggenbuck is a registered sex offender, according to a statement from Platte County Prosecutor Eric Zahnd. In 1981, Roggenbuck was convicted of statutory sodomy; in 1992, he was convicted on multiple charges of child molestation.

In February, 2008, the Platte City Police Department, working with Platte County's Cyber Crimes Task Force and the Heart of America Regional Computer Forensic Laboratory, executed a search warrant and seized Roggenbuck's computer.

It took the Platte County judge less than 30 minutes to find Roggenbuck guilty. Roggenbuck faces up to 35 years in prison. Sentencing is scheduled for January 28, 2010.

Eric Zahnd, the prosecutor, said of Roggenbuck: "He is a dangerous child

predator who must be stopped." You get the feeling Zahnd had been

hanging onto that quote for just the right situation.

Sound bite, meet Scott Roggenbuck.
