A video of the December 9 funeral march for 313 deer killed in Shawnee Mission Park's cull popped up yesterday on Bite Club of KC's blog. It's actually a video slideshow that lacks outrageous antics -- road-blocks, blood baths, disembodied deer head show-and-tells -- but features Jason Miller and Canadian animal rights activist Anthony Marr. It's all set to Phil Collins' somber "Long, Long Way to Go" so get your hankies out and get ready to mourn Bambi's mom.

park management would have done this before but people like these wouldn't let it happen. it wasn't enough of a problem to have a cull. it had to wait until it got to be too big of a problem before the public could get behind something like this.
