| Robert Olson wants you to please think of the children |
Asked exactly how the faux-reefer was dangerous, Olson was unable to name specifics, and admitted that he had not contacted small business owners selling the product. Olson has also been apparently unwilling to try the product, instead relying on law enforcement for all the information that has led him to believe K2 is a time bomb of psychosis that, once embraced, will lead to pre-10 Commandment levels of lawlessness and eroticism in the streets, with kids smoking weapons-grade crystal meth just to feel normal.
Regular readers of Plog know that smoking K2 makes you giggle for 20 minutes, at best. And, at worst, makes you self-conscious and maybe a little nauseous. Though it's been nearly two months since The Pitch test subjects bravely volunteered their minds for expansion, all remain relatively sane without heroin addictions and no sign of necrosis. In at least one case, K2 may have increased an already vigorous sexual potency.
Olson says he had some facts related to the use of the drug and the chemicals used to make it, but declined to elaborate before his press conference.
"I expect this will move through the legislative process at an average pace, so it will probably take the whole session to do it, but it should be during this upcoming session," Olson says of his plans to help South American drug cartels by illegalizing a drug that does not result in multiple deaths in its transport, or profit from or fund international terrorism. "Businesses owners will have a chance to testify during the legislative process," he said.
We're sure lawmakers will be real receptive to business owners.
Legislative action in Kansas alone won't be enough to stop K2 from spreading across the metro; it's now being sold at The Coffee Wonk (3535 Broadway) and ScentSational Scents (10 Westport Road).
"I was actually getting a little worried about keeping the business with the way the economy has been, but since I've been selling this it's gotten a lot better," says owner Pam Weber, who's been selling K2 since December. "I can barely keep it in stock. People come in big groups to buy it. Most of them are kids from Johnson County on probation."

In these days peoples use so many drugs for addiction like painkillers, cough syrup etc. Dextromethorphan is one of them. Dextromethorphan (DXM), the generic name for cough medication, users
start by taking the medicine as directed and then realize that its
effects are pleasurable. Thus, abuse of DXM begins, and from the abuse,
addiction can sprout.
Cough syrup can be abused in many ways. Some addicts drink DXM straight
out of the bottle, usually in quantities that are above suggested
levels. Still other users soak marijuana joints in the cough syrup.
Dextromethorphan Addiction
Hmmm. They don't care about the American public in the least. They started banning K2 and other herbal incense products long before they actually started research on any possible side effects they may have. Please don't be fooled into thinking they care about our well-being. If that were so, they would just tear down the corrupt FDA and take out Big Pharma as they are the biggest toxin pushers! Provided there are age restrictions, if someone wants some k2 herb, who are you to tell them that they can't have it? If someone wants to, they will buy k2 smoke whether it's legal or not as that is what happens with anything else that is unjustly and ridiculously prohibited. K2 incense will be no different. Plus, the formulas are constantly changing. http://www.herbalk2incense.com offers several products that are legal all over the world.
Our penal system needs a major overhaul as it is and these petty drug laws aren't helping matters. The authorities will never be able to keep up with k2 incense and the like as it is ever-changing. Loads of places have k2 herb products that aren't forbidden under any current bans. It is bonkers the money and effort they are putting into these bans when apparently people can still legally buy k2 smoke if they want to!
Reading this article really makes you think, I am very interested to read more of your blog.
Fantastic writing! Any predictions that you might be willing to voice to assist us in understanding your last section a bit more? cheers
Okay, here's some facts...
K2 contains no THC, just JWH 018...it acts on the brain the same way as weed does.
Therefore since it doesn't contain the substance that weed is illegalized for, it shouldn't be banned also.
But, all these people on here saying K2 cant cause harm are wrong. If you take too many hits it can cause you to go into server pain, and honestly make you feel like you're dying. If you learn to "hit and sit" it'll be much safer and much more enjoyable.
be responsible if you're going to use it

>I HOPE THE BAN IT JUST LIKE THEY HAVE MARIJUANA!
I'm sure most of the people stopped reading your rant after stumbling across this idiotic passage.
If you have a low tolerance to a substance, and it was "oogy boogie scary", don't fucking use it.
You could have a psycho-bitch-active response to caffine. Would you pressure congressmen to outlaw it?
So, in short, suck my dick.
Weird that everyone in that one group had extreme reactions.
I've had pot 6 or 7 times in the last 29 years.
It's too dangerous to keeping a job these days.
I tried K2 blonde.
*first* we both started off with two kinda small hits. Felt like having two shots. Not really buzzed or drunk but a tight feeling on the forehead and skin was very feely.
Waited a week. Thought about it.
This time she went to 3 and I went to 5 (i'm north of 250). With a water pipe. Extremely smooth, no urge to cough. She and I thought we had gotten nothing but blew smoke.
Intensely fun 2.5 hours for me and 3 hours for her. Had sex for second time and it lasted for over an hour. I'm not spring chicken. Some cotten mouth during.
After it ended, no hangover, no illness, no munchies, slept well.
Don't know how long it will stay viable but trying to get some more before it goes illegal. As a diabetic, this is *much* safer for me than booze. Blood sugar was untouched.
I saw that they are selling K2 in Westport at a new glass shop called Glassroots! 3 grams for 30 bucks! Right next to Missie B's!
Why be concerned banning a legal substance that has no harmful effect and start banning prescription pills which some can be VERY addictive and harmful to your health...trust me i watched my dad become addicted to oxycotten in a matter of months it's pathetic to see whats happening to this state
This is a terrible thing. i dont know how this could be good? why waste time and tax dollars to go criminalize something that has not caused any problems. WHY FIX SOMETHING THATS NOT BROKEN? i truly dont understand it. Stop worrying about things that shouldn't be worried about and start trying to fix this economy and help people find jobs. This is a waste of time.
Sensational Scents also has two other types of "incense" there called Comfortably Numb & Lucinda's Crystal. They're cheaper than k2 & they're both pretty sweet.
Well FIRSTLY, who knows what TYPE of LIFESTYLE you and your FAMILY have together, know one knows ANYTHING ABOUT your HABITS or PROBLEMS.
AND LETS JUST FACE IT, when your about to try something NEW you need to look at the physiological evidence that YOU may be under to MUCH PRESSURE in your own life and threatening YOURSELF or OTHERS WITH GUILTY INDULGENT STORIES of "Angry way to MIX your Medication and then experiment with new drugs."
In retrospect, you may just have been a VICTIM of YOUR OWN depressing life.
I tried K2 for the first time last night and it will be the LAST!
I have never had that feeling before, and yes I was probably way to high, but the feeling that I had was horrible.
I started out only taking 4 hits off of a homemade bong, and mind you all of this took place in less then 30 minutes.
At first I didn't feel anything at all, then I giggled once, threw my cigarette on the floor and started yelling for my husband and sister to help me. They froze, as they were high also. My brother in law came in I yelled for him to help me and he didn't know what to do. I remember saying get me inside I need to lay down, get me out of here. HELP ME! call 911!!!
At this time my husband turned ghostly white and starting throwing up.
Withing this time I was able to get up and walk myself inside. Not caring at all what was going on with my husband, having no feeling at all. The room was spinning I was dizzy, sick to my stomach and had a very hard time even breathing. I remember everything that happened to me, and I remember everything that happened to my husband, and even though the hospital said it was because of the alcohol and the new medication he is on, I know the K2 had something to do with that.
I believe that our police fire department and paramedics had a learning experience last night. This town has not been faced with people having this reaction to K2.
I HOPE THE BAN IT JUST LIKE THEY HAVE MARIJUANA!
You don't understand what it can do to you until it happens. I had to sit there and talk the whole time just to keep myself from passing out. I remember that my brother and sister were so scared they didn't know what to do. I knew that if I didn't do something I knew I was going to die.
This is not something to mess with. No one knows the side effects, no one knows the health risks involved and I know it was stupid I realize that, and I'm completely embarassed by doing it, but I need for everyone to know and to be aware of what could happen.
I have looked up K2 before and I know it is chemicals mixed with this stuff. What chemicals? We don't know. On top of that we don't know if it is laced with something else, and I thought that last night when my husband started getting sick, and this stuff was laced with rat poison or something like that and we were all going to be sick and no one to help us.
Take this as a warning of what could happen to you if you smoke this. I'm not saying this is going to happen to everyone I'm not saying that this won't happen if you smoke marijuana. I would much rather have my husband smoking marijuana, the real thing, then smoking this K2, but after last night, no one in my family that was with me last night will ever be smoking again!
Robert Olsen, you make me sick to my stomach. I think you need to quit being a control freak and let individuals make their own decisions. If you don't like it, then don't smoke it. Stay out of other people's lives and let them live their short time on earth how they choose.
dear robert olson,
you dutche..........
all these pathetic people trying to live forever makes me sick.
what's the point in living 100 years if you do the same thing every year? work sleep work sleep
we're living in a age where we are all stressed out, and most of us NEED a manual relaxation switch
lets face it most of us can't just sit down and relax anymore
I'd rather live 25 years of awesome non-stop fun. than to work my entire life only looking forward to retirement when I'm too old to do anything without my back creeking. and then dying and hoping heaven really exist
spoiler alert:
it doesn't!
sorry to break it to you mr, government santa is fake, and so is baby jesus. fairy tails to help give life to the strings, a reason for the gears to move
c'mon now people you don't know what happens after you die, no one does. so quit telling us how to live in our own homes.
sure ban it while driving, ban it from kids but why ban it from me? an adult who means no harm to anyone?
I don't drink alcohol, it's too much. and it's too hard to limit your self.
things like k2 you could smoke it all day and never get sick like you would drinking booz. you'd just eventually lay down and go to sleep
I like how that one guy said olson is supporting terrorism by making it illegal, then their weed sales will go back up.
Great! Welcome to America. Its already scary that someone has to MAKE a synthetic alternative to a natural plant already made illegal in this country (for absurd reasons). But no one has stopped to think that K2, like cannabis itself, can stimulate an appetite in cancer and AIDS patients. What cannabis does for these people is not up for debate any longer and if you have cancer and are lucky enough to live in a state where you can get medical cannabis, good for you. But the last I heard, they dont have marijuana dispensaries in Kansas. But hey, those people are going to die anyway right? Robert Olson should worry about the kids; screw those people with cancerthey wont be around to vote next time he runs for office anyway! The potential for this stuff to be used medicinally has not even been addressedpeople see kids smoking it and react with their typical knee-jerk reaction. First of all, Robert Olson obviously eats too much food and he needs to worry about himself before worrying about protecting the children of Kansas. Hes not the poster boy for a healthy lifestyle that one would expect see telling others how to live their lives. Robert doesn't care about the potential of K2 whatsoever because those brave men and women in blue are telling him that dumb kids are doing dumb things with it. And in America, because dumb parents raise dumb kids who do dumb things, idiots like Robert Olson can find job security by thinking of the children and making this world a safe place to live. Heres a thought and it may be too obvious to be logical in Kansas but how about we raise our children properly instead of criminalizing everything that we dont agree with.
Hey Robert, here's something to consider...kids smoke cigarettes too. Why are you trying to criminalize one smokeable substance and not the others? Oh BTW, kids drink booze too...better make that illegal too. Perhaps you only fight the battles you think you can win (which is why you will always be overweight).
A reasonable lawmaker would suggest we regulate K2 to anyone over the age of 18...but that might not get you elected next time around (at least not as a republican). Decisions, decisions...do the right thing or be a typical hypocrite politician...
I stepped on a rock last summer and cut my toe. I think all rocks that are padded with some sort of safety foam, should be illegal to walk on with bare feet! Perhaps Robert Olson can work on that when hes finished saving the children.
K2 to me, as someone who hasn't touched weed of any form in my life, is a good alternative to for people that are doing weed. I saw a news story on it a while back, and have recommended it to several people i know that do smoke weed, and they love it... best thing is... it doesn't last too long, but still gives them the sense and imitation of being high. for the "oh so good" legislators in congress to ban it, sounds normal. and it will pass... so.. get it while you can. -nuff said.
I agree w/ majority the things Nunya B. said, but we can't have bud-tokers commenting on here that can barely spell right. that just gives the people who are against smoking weed more of an excuse to keep it illegal. Sorry Nunya but we're gonna have to re-do your comment lol. much love for your support though. If the government would realize that legalizing pot would help increase the economy's progress to making all these problems go away then i'm sure the crime rate would decrease @ least 30% at the most. Cant do anything about the murderous people who catch their cheating wives/husbands. No, the government doesnt want to see it's nation happy. Rather than see a group of friends walking down the street acting silly, laughing and playing causing no harm whatso-ever, they'd rather view DRUNK DRIVERS SWERVING ACROSS THE ROADS, STARTING FIGHTS IN BARS, OR USE ALCOHOL TO GET MEN/WOMEN TO HAVE SEX WITH THEM (although that does the trick;]) (unless it goes to rape) or just all around B.S. that alcohol impairs people to do. So people, the day that our government opens their eyes & stops to think about the well-being of our country's needs will probably be the day Jesus comes back. And from the way things are going now, it ain't lookin' too good... :(
someone should have told his mother that allowing him to eat coco puffs for breakfast would lead to worse things like donuts and pound cakes... by the truck load it appears.
Living in a country that governs itself without any apparent logic is becoming EXTREMELY TIRESOME.
I keep remembering what my high school history teacher told us, "If you don't like it, leave."
GREAT IDEA!
K2 as I have tried multipul times has a mellow high very similar to weed and doesn't last as long. Once high is over you go back to normal feeling, no head achs or tiredness or hangover. I personally would like someone to look into the product and research if there is any negative effects on the body or mind before banning it. 3 out of 5 people id say smoke weed, most are lawabiding citizens that don't want to break the law and would be open to a legal safe alternative. Is the court open to the peoples opinion, or just a closed minded kansas legislaterman opinion, whome probably drinks at the country club with the rest of the lawmakers and then drives home. I believe purchase of k2 is 18 or 21, make k2 21 and older like alcohol. Or should we go back to prohabition, because if were banning it "to think about the kids", kids can get into grandpas or mom and dads fridge and sneek beer or wine or even 151. We won't ban alcohol because it is exceptable, however causes more problems then illegal weed. Hell, legalize weed and tax it, put that tax towards the national debt or better yet towards homeland security and reverse the money flow from cartels and terrorist to battel them and hurt their cash flow. Do we the people realy have a voice? That's just my 2 cents.
