Arnold's lawsuit claims that because of her brain injury, she has suffered headaches, slurred speech, loss of balance, memory loss and dizziness. She also claims to have lost her senses of taste and smell. Arnold is suing for restitution for medical bills and lost wages for her and her husband, Jason Daniel Arnold, and names Angels Rock Bar, Entertainment Concepts Investors LLC, and the Cordish Company as defendants.
Arnold's attorney, Joshua Perkins, declined to comment on the case due to ongoing litigation, and also declined to comment on whether Arnold had any blood alcohol content at the time of the incident.
The bar's managing partner, Drew Coleman, says the renovation work is unrelated to the lawsuit.
"There are railings up there [where Arnold was dancing]. From what we were told, she was stepping down and fell," he says. "It's been two years since we opened, and it was just time for a make-over."
The renovations include nine chandeliers, new wallpaper, laser lights, a new front door and a decorative montage of classic rock posters and images. The bras hanging from the chandeliers are gone.
In celebration for the opening, the club will host an invitation-only event from 8 to 10 p.m., and Brooklyn Clan DJ's will play once the doors open to the public.
