Earlier today, the government body that oversees attorneys in Kansas announced an ethical complaint against former Kansas Attorney General Phill Kline for his handling of the inquisition into abortion provider.
Here's the response, titled "Fully Anticipated, Deceptively Structured, Politically Motivated," from Kline's legal team:
Earlier today, Disciplinary Administrator Stanton Hazlett and the Board of Discipline for Attorneys notified the Kansas media of a formal complaint against former Kansas Attorney General Phill Kline. Kline has yet to receive any official confirmation from the Disciplinary Board.Nevertheless, Kline's legal counsel today responded to the formal complaint with one sentence:
"This complaint was fully anticipated, it is deceptively structured, and it is entirely politically motivated," said Tom Condit, an attorney for Kline.
The Disciplinary Board can expect a full-blooded response to the complaint and Mr. Kline looks forward to a vigorous and very public airing of the facts.

Oh no, what happened to Brian Burgess? What's he doing for a living if Kline's handed PR duties off to his lawyer?
