The Kansas Jayhawks shook off the banning of third-string mascot White Owl and hammered the Missouri Tigers 84-65 Monday night.

Didn't notice the players wearing black armbands or recall Bill Self mentioning the 62-year-old White Owl (real name Jimmy Neil Tucker) in his post-game comments.

White Owl was sentenced last week to a year of probation for violating a protection order -- taken out by his twentysomething ex-fiancée -- and banned from the University of Kansas.

Kansas center Cole Aldrich overcame the controversy and logged a double-double with 12 points and 16 rebounds and added seven blocks (the force of the blocks combined to blow off this man's hair/hairpiece?).

Missouri's shot at redemption won't come until the home finale on March 6.
