Kansas City police just released the sketch on the right of the suspected Waldo serial rapist.

Police say to keep in mind that the composite sketch isn't a portrait

of one person "but a grouping of characteristics to put people into a

category that narrows the search and eliminates other groups. It is

intended to place the focus on a smaller grouping of individuals."

The

suspect is described as a black man with "a deep,

smooth voice" who smelled of smoke and exhaust fumes. He is said to be about 6-feet tall,

250 pounds, bald with pitted cheeks and possible acne scars. The man

allegedly told a recent victim that he is 27 years old, although police

believe he is lying about his age. Another victim told police that the

man "had very bad breath."

A pair of rapes over the weekend led Kansas City police to believe a serial rapist may be on the loose.

Police

say a man broke into a home in the 8300 block of Mercier Street and

sexually assaulted a 53-year-old woman after she came home from work

around 9:50 p.m. on Saturday.

Less than two hours later, a man sexually assaulted a 50-year-old woman

while she was letting her dogs out in the 10 block of East Porte Cimi

Pas, which is less than two miles from the site of the first attack.

Police believe the same man who committed these rapes is responsible for raping two women in the Waldo area last fall.

Expect increased patrols in the neighborhoods where the man struck,

police say. Police are also encouraging people to keep their doors and

windows locked.

If you have information about the suspect, call  the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.

I wish police sketches were done by those caricature artists you see at fairs. This guy would be driving a go kart and holding a balloon.

So, which of these stories is correct? Are they related?

So when they catch this monster they can appropriately credit one of the people who made it happen.

Why the hell would a police-sketch artist sign their work like it's a piece of commercial art? That's just odd.
