Overland Park youth pastor Wayne Lee Huston was charged last week with indecent liberties with a child for allegedly kissing and fondling a 14-year-old girl.
Huston, 45, appeared in court for the first time yesterday.
KCTV 5 reports that Huston used to be a youth pastor at Holy Cross Lutheran Church where he allegedly had an inappropriate relationship with a 14-year-old girl.
The girl's mother discovered inappropriate text messages on the girl's phone and called the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services, KCTV reports
Huston's bond is set at $25,000. His next court hearing is scheduled for February 11 at 10:30 a.m. in Johnson County District Court.
A Facebook page for a "Wayne Huston" in Kansas City says he is a fan of Heartland Community Church in Olathe, Kansas Spiritual Directors and Dave Ramsey.
