I agree 100%. I have a college degree and I see no problem with the leagalization of marijuana. I prsonally think that the government makes too much money keeping it illeagal to justify taking the chance on making it leagal. Although the profit matgin of it being leagal is huge. If they where to package it and sell it where you have to show id to purchase it. The deficit would be gone in just a few short yrs.

so far you can remember everything but that gets harder as you smoke for yrs. ive been a heavy smoker for over ten yrs and i love marijuana and will always smoke but it does impare you and kills memory cells in the brain, but those cells can be regenerated wen you quit smokin but it takes a long time.. like the greatful dead said, " keep truckin while smokin
all love to my fellow smokers and kid have an open mind and just because they make it legal doesnt mean you will be able to smoke unless for medicinal purposes

Listen little ones I'm still young and iv been smoking for about 5 years now and I will say that within these last couple of years of constant usage I have yet to get any kind of illness I know I really don't have any reason to smoke other than I enjoy it but I don't see it coming legal until I'm old here in Missouri I mean we are on the right track but it's still going to take some time but the bes way to start is by going throughout the towns because there are towns in missouri that have legalized it

The use of poor grammar and spelling in these comments are reason enough to not legalize marijuana. You people are killing this. Get an education first.

there are so many diffrent uses for marijuana and there has never been anyone who has ever died using it in history any where in the world there is no reason it cant be controlled and maintaned properly by the people if alcahal and tobbacco can be legall and cantrolled even though its been proven they both kill people then why cant marijuana the only reason i can think of is that the goverment makes money on people going to court jail and on probation this country dont seem to care about nothin but the mighty dollar and if they are to stubern to admit they made a mistake and legalize it and move forward on more important things becouse the longer they keep beeting around the bush with this subject the more problems they will have and thats the truth

My use of marijuana has led to some legal issues in my past and now i have to go to rehab twice a week taking time out of my day to do things that a normal 17 year old should be doing such as homework and sports, but just because I smoke marijuana people have labeled me as a drug "addict". addict is a strong word that means you have a physical need for a substance. I don't have a "need" for marijuana I just love it therefor I enjoy using it. I have been using marijuana for 3 years now and the only problems that have occurred are legal issues Other than that I have not done anything wrong. Marijuana should be legalized, regulated, taxed, and sold to people who meet a certain age criteria. If this were to take place our country would be bringing in and making a very large profit off a substance that can be grown from soil and legal or illegal is being sold all over the world. It is time to stop looking down on this wonderful plant and take advantage of this God given herb.

Silly wabbit Trix are for kids! Uh this bill/law won't say children under the age of 18 can light up a joint anytime they want.
It's hard to wrap your little minds around I know I was a die hard pot smoker in school until the judge said "join the military or go to jail for 5-10yr's" so I joined. Now they say "you have a problem and you either go to rehab or jail".
This Bill/Law will be for the people that have the money, lawyer, and a doctor in their back pocket. It's all really about the MONEY if you got that the other two people are easy to obtain.
We've really made no progress for legalizing POT just a loophole for now. So until the FED's say it's okay then we've made it.
I'm all for legalizing it because that judge really did me in when he said join the military. Now I'm 100% disabled from the war and can't work *(#hole. Do I qualify to smoke weed now or do you just want to keep shoving pills down my throat until they kill me.

These synthetic cannabinoid based 'legal highs' have not had sufficient testing to determine their safety. Natural cannabis has been used for centuries with minimal harm to individual or society, so it seems counterintuitive to allow a product to be marketed that produces the same high with potentially more health risks down the road.

Synthetic cannabinoids break down more quickly than natural cannabinoids and we have no idea what long term effects there may be. There's no CBD in them, the natural cannabinoid that works to decrease anxiety and paranoia associated with THC-like cannabinoids. This is a problem with some high potency natural cannabis as well. Though the average strength of various cannabis strains have remained relatively the same over the years, some varieties such as Skunk have bred to have very high THC content and very low CBD content, which may make for a more intense, and potentially more alarming high.

Eery 'legal high' that is based on a synthetic cannabinoid (K2, Spice, etc) is made in basically the same way. The synthetic cannabinoid is generally a powder, which is then dissolved in alcohol and applied to random plant matter (often described as potpourri). After the alcohol has evaporated, the plant matter remains imbued with the cannabinoid of choice, is packaged and eventually sold.

Most of these synthetic brands don't disclose which cannabinoids they're using, the dose, or the plant matter that they use. There's absolutely no regulation, whatsoever. If these are ever legitimized, they'll need to sort these things out.

Cannabis shouldn't be illegal in the first place. And I find it unfortunate that many users may lose their new 'legal high'. On the other hand, I do see a ban being in the interest of public safety until we know more. If natural cannabis was legal and regulated, this wouldn't be an issue as we'd know exactly the cannabinoid percentages of the product we'd be buying. As it is, both are a growing health concern perpetuated by the drug war and lack of regulation.
