No nudity in Missouri strip clubs? Matt Bartle still has hard-on for adult businesses

Puritanical Missouri state Sen. Matt Bartle's crusade against Missouri strip clubs has resurrected in the midst of a federal investigation of pay-for-play politics in the Show-Me State.

We've been here before. The Kansas City Star says Bartle's bill, S.B. 586, which the Senate endorsed, would:

  • outlaw nudity in strip clubs

  • require a six-foot buffer between strippers and customers

  • shut down adult entertainment businesses between midnight and 6 a.m.

  • outlaw liquor sales at strip clubs

  • create a 1,000-foot buffer zone between adult businesses and schools, churches, day cares, libraries, parks, homes and other adult businesses.

Kansas City state Sen. Jolie Justus tried to exempt KC due to the city's existing restrictions on adult entertainment businesses, but her amendment (which Bartle said would make Kansas city a "porn capital of America") was shot down.

How can u ask the guy if he has a job, or tell him he has to much time on his hands when you replied to his post? You are a sever douche bag. Strip clubs are not a bad thing. They say we are objectifying women... How? Because we are paying them to do a job they choose. Or is it because we are having to much fun? Or is it Jack, that you have Jesus (which by the way has about as much chance of being real as Santa Clause) so far up your ass that you cannot appreciate a beautiful body in front of you when u have the chance? Which would also make you a HOMO!

Stripping and prostitution takes advantage of the lower class and those in poverty. Many are force to degrade themselves. We know a beautiful, wealthy, and educated women would never be put through that situation because she can do better. Matt Bartle is protecting the lower class. Good for him, somebody needs to stand up and stop the abuse on humanity.

You degrade yourself you know why? Because you are the one naked while I am fully clothed and I am doing what I want with you in my mind while you dance for me naked. I am in the one in power and you are the tramp. Don't you get it?? Have you fallen on your head sometime? What type of men do you think goes there? Not the respected kind. I am a jackass and I know it, I degrade women and I know it, but I have problems because my mom never loved me. So shut up and dance naked for me.

this guy is a tool who cant understand this is america...we have the right to go and see nude woman if we choose and vice versa for things like chip and dals. Keep your religous views out of this. In this country we are based on law not God. We could base things of God...o wait the middle east did that and that went so well. Stop crying about your men leaving you to go see some girl who looks better then you. And honestly Bartle might just get more then he can chew from this one. Who has more time and money...hmmmm adult industry? Bartle take a hint and go bible beat in your own house you anti constitutionalist baby back bitch.

Glad Matt Bartle can't run for re-election. Too many religious zealots in the republican party already. He gives all republicans a bad name. I've been a Reagan Republican for thirty years, but I am ashamed of where people like him have taken the Republican Party to. It's time to vote out all religious zealots and philosophical zealots from both parties. Let's get back to the Constitution.

The laws are so lopsided. When I was in the Navy back in the day we were always reminded to only by sex from the girls in forieng countries that had a card stating that they had seen an american doctor, We called it(the USDA card). Now isn't that prostitution? The girls had to pay for the physical.

Where is Larry Flint and Hugh Hefner when they are needed? This makes no sense to Me. I am not bothered by these clubs. It almost sounds like somebody has a personal problem with a club, so He or She decides to close them all.

Here's the thing.
I think church is stupid. "Simons says stand up-Simon says sit down-Simon says sing this-Simon says shut up-Simon says give me your money-Simon says go home."
But would I ever crusade a bill to shut down all Missouri churches? No. I simply won't go to a church.
I'm not a big fan of tatoos. They don't look cool, IMO. Do I think tatoo shops need to be shut down? No. I just won't participate.
"Kansas city would become the porn capital of the United States"?! REALLY?! Has this slack-jawed yokel even been outside of Missouri? Kansas City has a LONG way to go to be the capital of ANYTHING.
I now live in Texas, and for those of you who haven't been here, we have A LOT of strip clubs. A LOT. And you know what? The clubs are more than willing to abide by the rules. And you know why? Its PROFITABLE. To everyone involved. The clubs make money off the cover charges and food sales; the dancers make money off the customers, and the STATE makes money off the alcohol taxes. I'm sure under this half-baked idea the state will still hold some revenue, but I gotta tell you, Missouri will pocket more from a crown and coke and a lowly can of coke.
The way I see it, if you don't LIKE strip clubs...don't go. Stay home and read your NRA handbook or something.
I'm curious...what happened to Matt Bartle? Did he have a girlfriend who ditched him to become a stripper? Did he fall in love with a stripper who just wanted his money? Has he been blown off by every stripper in the state? Why the hatered towards strippers? Strippers gotta eat, too.

Underground strip clubs with mob-controlled sluts? That sounds exciting! In reality, millions of dollars will just flow out-of-state to Kansas strip clubs. I'll see you at the Outhouse.

I agree with Stripper, when all these clubs get shut down, then only thing that will do is put people out of work, and bring it underground and or cause many to turn to prostitution. Just because you don't believe it is right doesn't give you the right to ban it for everyone else. God gave us the right of choice and politicians are slowly taking it away. If you don't want to see nudity, don't go, simple. Not to mention, Sen. Matt Bartle can't even pronounce Missouri correctly. See his site on the Senate page, in his welcome video he says "Missoura". Last time i checked it was an i on the end of Missouri, not an a. How this guy even got to where he is is beyond my comprehension. God made us all, even strippers!!

Wow. At least it looks like a good handful of people are against this. I'll admit, I'm a 23-year-old stripper, but guess what, I'm doing it to pay my bills and support my kids while I'm in school. There is no prostitution that goes on inside the club, there is no drinking allowed on shift, and it's not usually as vulgar as people make it out to be. Everyone here is trying to work to get through school because the economy sucks and we've had trouble finding a 'real' job. Guess what, to us, this is a job. That's all it is. If people are pissed that they can't have us, or because we take their money... well you walk into the club in the first place. Don't like it, don't enter it. It's pretty simple.

As for the anonymous fundies, we aren't degrading ourselves. You degrade us by thinking that we're nothing but slutty hoars.

If the governor signs this, what do you think is going to happen? Go through your history books and look at the other things thats been banned. Besides, get rid of the legit businesses, your gonna see a rise in prostitution and eligit businesses. I give it 6 months top before all the strip clubs are underground and girls really are nothing but sluts controlled by the mob.

So quit your accusations based soley on the fact that it's 'against your beliefs and religion', and think about what this is really about. Creating a 'utopian' society that has to have someone hold their hand to use the restroom.

Alright you anonymous fundie, those girls are eighteen (which makes them an adult) and they have the right to do whatever they like even if that means stripping in front of a bunch of drunks. That's their choice and good for them for having the balls to do that in front of strangers. It's a tough world out there right now and money is money no matter how you look at it. I don't see the harm in any of these strip clubs trying to make money to make ends meet. We're all adults and don't need anybody trying to tell us what we can and can't show when no little kids are around and we're not out in public.

Perhaps those of you that are more enlightened than the average citizen can explain to the rest of us why an elected official would be concerned with limiting the activities of an industry that is so well-known in its approach to personal advocacy, integrity and lawful behavior.

The current laws are adequate. Bartle needs to layoff.

Naked women are beautiful, and if any man wants to get ripped off by a stripper, its purely free market forces acting here. As long as the prostitution that may occur happens OUTSIDE the club, its all legal. .. But, prostitution should be stopped, if only for public health reasons.

Republican Man for Naked Women says, "Get drunk before you go in and... Enjoy the lap dance!"

OMG! Did someone say Matt ("The Rat") Bartle has a hard-on? All this time I just thought that was a half roll of Certs he was carrying in his pocket.

Guess it's true what they say about people who want to control what others show of their bodies are the most likely to be ashamed of their own bodies.

(For those who can't follow that line of logic, a.k.a. Republicans, yes, I did just say that Matt has a tiny pee-pee and is trying to compensate for the li'l fella.)
