Never nude strip club bill passes Missouri Senate

Only two Missouri senators voted against puritanical Matt Bartle's bill that would ban nudity in strip clubs, keep strippers six feet away from customers, shut down adult stores and clubs before midnight, outlaw liquor sales and create a buffer zone.

That means 29 voted for it (so says PrimeBuzz) and the bill is off to the House.

I live in Springfield Missouri... and it sucks... I dont want to go to a strip club without nudity, i mean if you go to a night club you get the basic effect, girls in very little clothes, dancing and grinding, but its hands on (if the girl says okay) I hate this, when my husband and I do decide to go... Were going to drive to Tulsa OK to a full nude strip club- These girls are 18(+) and should have the right to work where they want doing what they want... I cant believe people waste their time trying to keep horny Missourians from getting out to see live naked girls... Im a married woman... And im not into swinging or any of that... but Hey, i had my "curious" streak and i still like watching girls occasionally.

So sick and tired of laws not voted by public ballet/ leave the poor girls alone/ is it possible to impeach a idiot like that who waist our tax dollars- trying to impose his lifestyle on the majority- did someone change the constitution up there too

I cannot beleive in this day and age that they would ban nudity in clubs after these buissneses have spend 10s of thousands opening up these buissnesses, and how about allthe people that will need to be layed off,
what a bunch of dumb asses.
These are places that people choose on their own to enter so why are you screwing with them?

Lol, this serious business/law school student by day stripper by night cliche is amusing.

As a dancer i find this to be a tragedy. We are not holding people at gun point and forcing them into our clubs.. Half the men i sit with are over 50 and enjoy the company of a beautiful woman. I make a living the same way everyone else does, i work for it. Non VIP club everything is out in the open, so there is no foul play. I dont think these people thought of the consequences of this decision? Do you have any idea how many women will be knocking on srs's door now? There is not a job market to accomodate as many people as they are about to put out of work... Many of them single moms that are also in school full time and trying to better themselves. What a shame... They should be smacked.

I'm glad I live in Montreal where I can feel up a stripper anytime I please.

The ONLY reason why almost everyone voted in its favor is because Bartle is threatening those against it with indictments (sp)
Such a Christian man....NOT

Tobias Fs a cultural reference. Go rent Arrested Development on DVD. In the show, he actually suggested this.

As a fundamentalist Christian with a libertarian streak, I find this distressing. I believe that what consenting adults do behind closed doors is no one's business but theirs, and that's one of my primary litmus tests when voting. If they regulate clubs today, will they go after my church tomorrow?

Tobias,

Maeby it is a good idea and Maeby it isn't but this is making strip clubs like prisons... it's just a question of time before a guard is shouting out "no touching" every time a stripper gets close to a patron.

Maeby your daughter made a living stripping? Without those good tips she might have to resort to handling bananas to make a living. Maeby even the long chocolate bananas if you know what I mean.

If you don't want your daughter to make a living handling other peoples bananas it's time to make a stand.

I think this is a grand idea!

Why are they wasting their time and our tax money on this? And speaking of tax money, this bill would force strip clubs out of business...and that's not a good idea when you're in a recession. We need all of the tax revenue we can get.

What a waste of time and tax payer money to even discuss this. It's sad that these fundamentalist douchebags are so scared by bare breasts.
