A man suspected of robbing a Popeyes Chicken and Biscuits was shot several times after allegedly pulling a gun on police last night, KSHB Channel 41 reports.

KSHB's Sloane Heller reports that a man, armed with a gun allegedly robbed the cash register of the Popeyes at Stateline Road and 101st Street before 10 p.m. Officers spotted a man matching the suspect's description at 97th Terrace and Locust. The suspect allegedly pulled a gun, and officers shot the suspect at least once.

The last report from Heller says the man is in "critical, but stable

condition."

Kansas City police are reportedly trying to determine if the man fired upon the officers and which officers shot the suspect.
