The crackdown on fake IDs is underway in Lawrence.

The Kansas Traffic Safety Resource Office announced that extra law enforcement officers are on the lookout for wannabe McLovins. They've also announced a campaign called "Fake ID 101" and the owners of Johnny's Tavern, Rick's Place and Wayne & Larry's will display signs by their doors listing the consequences of using a fake (see the sign after the jump), which could be a fine of up to $2,500 and/or a year-long buzz kill in jail.

So beware, young Jayhawks.
