Police in Liberty are investigating the death of a 3-week-old child. The infant was pronounced dead at Children's Mercy Hospital on Tuesday afternoon.
The investigation is classified as a "death investigation," which police say is common in an unexpected death.
On Monday, paramedics and police officers responded to a call of an infant who had stopped breathing at 1270 Missouri Court.
