Two more men have pleaded guilty to taking part in an illegal gambling operation.
Brothers Michael C. Sansone, 30, and Anthony V. Sansone, 27, both pleaded guilty in federal court to transmitting wagering information over the Internet.
The story is pretty much the same as the two before them, except the Sansones admitted using a laptop to access the Web site, log into the account and accessing info on the wagers.
Prosecutors
say the Sansones and other
bookmakers gave bettors a 1-800
number and Web site to bet on sporting events, and used
another 1-800 number to track the wagers and account balances.
The 1-800 numbers went to a Costa Rican company, which received
the
wagers and tracked the results but didn't have an interest in the
outcomes of the bets. Prosecutors say the Sansones and other bookmakers
made payments and collected cash in person from their clients on a
weekly basis.
Michael Sansone's guilty plea cost him $4,039 and his laptop, which will go to the government.
The Sansones each could get up to two years in federal prison
without parole and a fine of up to $250,000. Their sentencing hearings
have not been scheduled.
In related cases, 24-year-old Charles J. Simone and 26-year-old Michael V.
Badalucco also entered guilty pleas in federal court to their roles in the illegal gambling operation.

I am police officer of asian decent. I think all this banter is hilarious also. I agree with there are good and bad of races. One thing i find interesting is that no one will ever state their name. Especially those who are making negative comments about others. Why is everyone hiding behind a computer? I guess I could understand if you feel your life may threated or you were involve in this whole case. Then why say anything at. People need to grow up. This was a simple gambling case. I know those who are making negative comments about those involved in the case are probably scared to death to sign there real name, knowing the consequences. Reading this crap motnhs later after seeing a snippet on another page about Lombardo being a "welch." Thoroughly enjoyed the banter and want to add some. Years ago I was acquainted with Lombardo as a young man. Seemed like a good guy but was really a prick. Was obviously crime family. Some kinda low level mob supervisor with a few goons under him. This world has two kinds of people. Those who are Italian and those who wish they were. There aren't a bunch of people arguing on here. There are about 5 idiots who keep posting dumb stuff. All I know is this is just about the only community left in Missouri who stick together, excluding 10-15 people. Almost everyone in the whole community has great families and are good people who stick by each other. Most people are jealous bc they don't know anyone who would go to jail so people in the community don't get in trouble for something so ignorant as gambling. I am not Italian, nor do i associate with many Italians. I am not from here but a friend told me to check this out The few that I do associate with are pretty good guys. They are real big on showing respect as well as being family oriented. I know first hand, I have experienced a birthday party or two, I was welcomed with open arms. With that said, I work with gentlemen who is Italian, and he is pretty rude and the type of guy who gives a bad rep to the others. I think that goes with all races. Somebody of every race makes the others look bad. Its a fact, thats it. I dont know one race that has all peices in line. I think everyone is a little messed up or there family is in some way. Don't know for a fact, but in my experience through life I have met many of those people who wished they were something they are not. They just constantly harp on those who do wrong, as if they don't have anything there not proud of. Like checking the blog daily and writting stuff negative. Its funny to listen to all these comments from people who were not in the court room, never met with the lawyers and probably never had a conversation with one of these guys. Especially the comments that are negative towards these guys going to jail. Like why didn't these guys give themselves up eight months ago.
