Kansas City police say the woman who was shot and killed while trying to run over officers with a sport utility vehicle Tuesday night is 19-year-old Jessica D. Jones.
Police say the SUV driven by Jones was stolen from Overland Park, Kansas.
Police say their investigation is continuing.
Kansas City police shot and killed woman who allegedly tried to run over police officers with a sport utility vehicle, police say.
According to police, officers were near Truman and Indiana around 10:22
p.m. when the SUV driven by Jones nearly struck their police vehicle.
The officers pursued the SUV, but Jones allegedly wouldn't stop.
Officers followed the SUV to 31st and Terrace, where Jones turned south
on Terrace from 31st Street and stopped at a dead end. The officers
exited their vehicles and Jones allegedly turned her SUV around and
drove at the officers. The officers shot and killed Jones.
The four officers were not injured. They are being placed on
administrative leave, which is common following a police shooting.
I believe this is Jones' MySpace page. On it, she lists her home as Crimedotte. This appears to be an older, abandoned profile.

Today is a good day for me and I'm gonna keep making the rest of my days good too. Now that i don't have to worry about being drug the the mud anymore. I love being single and doing what I want when I want. I don't have anybody to answer to anymore and it's great. I love the life that I'm making for myself. It feels great to be clean again and not being put down anymore.I am now 27 wks pregnant only 13 more wks to go and I'm so glad that it's almost over. Can't wait to see and hold my baby and yes I have decided to keep my baby because reguardless of who my babies dad is she is still mine and she don't need a dad. I am excited about alot of things in my life right now. I will be going back to school soon and be a new mommy again. But I also have a hard time ahead of me next week thye 21st will be 1 yr since my 6 1/2 mon old daughter passed away so that will be a trying time for me. But it is my GUARDIN ANGEL that has helped me thru everything that has been going on the last couple of mons. I have my daughters to thank for helping me keep my head up cause they gave me something better to think about. But anyways I LOVE BEING A MOMMY AND SINGLE.

Afraid and Lonley

I don't even know where to begin. There is so much on my mind and so much more going on in my life. First of all I went to the doctor last friday to get my sonogram, which was suppose to be a happy day but was from from that. They changed my due date and said that I was not as far along as thought. Which means now I have no clue who the baby daddy is. To make matters worse Kenny hates me for this and I honostly cannot sit here and say that I blame him either. Back in Jan and Feb me and him were not getting along I slept with a couple of other people at the end of Feb and thats when the doctor says i got pregnant (not good). I feel alone in all of this but I guess like they say this to will pass. I know that if I did ever have a chance of being with him still its all gone now and thats kills me inside. What I did was the ultimate betrayal but theres nothing that I can do about it now except deal with it the best that I can. I really don't want to keep this baby now for the simple fact that I want my baby to have a mom and a DAD that loves her and she only has one. I want better than that for her. So I have been thinking seriously about adoption. No its not for the benefit of some man either or for any persnal reasons. I feel like it would be whats best for this baby. So yes right now I'm really of afraid of whats going to happen out of all this and very much alone in this struggle. But at the same time am I being selfish for wanting to give this baby up? I don't know!!! I do know that I am very confused right now. I have so much on my mind that I can't even think straight at this point. I really don't want to deal with explaining to my family either why my baby is a different color than Kenny. But I did this and now I have to find a way to deal with it. Cops don't get charged with murder when they shoot someone so they don't die themselves. Jessica put a officers life in immediate danger. She made that decision, so they had no choice but to save themselves by putting a few rounds through her.
